Mikko Viljami Lindstrom, better known as Linde Lindstrom, is the current guitarist in the Finnish rock band, HIM.

He was born 12th August, 1976, Klaukkala, Nurmijarvi, Finland. Linde's father worked as engineer and mother worked in Finnair (Finnish airline-company) when he was child.

His father was a big fan of Elvis. The music of Elvis, in turn, influenced little Linde.

At the age of 10, his parents gave him his first guitar- an acoustic mini Landola, as a Christmas gift. The first song he learned to play on his guitar was 'Heavens on Fire' by Kiss. Kiss were one of his first main musical interests.

Soon Linde started guitar lessons & his parents recognised his musical talent, and supported his playing. Linde joined the same school as Ville after comprehensive school, and unlike Ville remained there for two more years.

Linde has been a member of several bands. The main one - Aurora, in the late 1980's, where Linde played guitar. The band itself played their own songs, and were generally quite offensive

In the studio, Linde primarily uses Gibson SGs, and uses them exclusively live. For the recording of 'Venus Doom', Linde also used baritone guitars by ESP and Danelectro, as well as a Fender Telecaster for some solos. He has used Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Stratocasters, and a Gretsch Chet Atkins model for his clean sounds.

Early in his career, he was known to play a Jackson Soloist and a Gibson Flying V with a Bigsby tremolo. One guitar that Linde owns is a Gibson Flying V that used to belong to Andy McCoy.

Lindstrom means "linden stream," and is derived from the Swedish words lind meaning "linden (lime) tree," and strom which means "stream".
